The Usuzan Ropeway is an aerial lift line that opened in 1965, climbing Mount Usu in about 6 minutes, the active volcano in Toya-Usu Global Geopark. The gondala and observatory deck have a view of Lake Toya, Showa Shinzan, and the central crater of Mount Usu.
Mount Usu is a volcano which has erupted four times in the past 100 years. Its most recent eruption occurred in the year 2000.
The Usuzan Ropeway upper station's from a second observation deck a short walk away, there are views of the ocean and Mount Usu's largest crater, which was formed in an eruption in 1977.
Every days : 08:00am. - 18:00pm. (subject to change seasonally)
Ropeway service will stop from January 11 to January 20, 2018 for regular inspection and maintenance

Print voucher or show your e-voucher on your mobile phone at counter ticket also present a valid photo ID/passport along with the voucher number.
The voucher is valid only on the date and time specified.
E-ticket is non-transferable, non-refundable and void if altered.
E-ticket is valid for one-time for use.

How to get here
By Car: 15 min. from Date Interchange on the Do-oh Expressway to Mt. Showa Shinzan by car.
By Train + Public Bus: 15 min. from JR Toyako Sta. by Donan Bus bound for Toyako Onsen Get off at the Toyako Onsen Bus Terminal. Change to Donan Bus bound for Showa Shinzan and get off after 15 min. at the last stop. ※No bus services to Showa Shinzan in winter.
Children tickets are for those between 6-12 years old.
Children under 5 yerar old is free
